Question Looking for advice on a PvE W/N Build

Anyone here have advice on a PvE W/N Build? I searched the forums for some time, couldn't find an appropriate forum. If I missed something please let me know.

I'm hoping to use this build to tank for groups and do some solo work as well.

Currently I'm at Lion's Arch, so my available skills are somewhat limited.

Skill bar is:

Sprint
Sever Artery
Gash
Seeking Blade
Life Siphon
Blood Renewal
Vampiric Gaze
For Great Justice!

Attributes are:
Blood Magic 8
Strength 7 (modified by equip)
Swordsmanship 9 ( '' )

Weapon: A Firey Gladus of Swordsmanship, 15-22 Damage
Shield: AL 10 Tall Shield
Armor: Ascalon Armor, AL50 + 10 type

Thanks in advance.

I've since adjusted my skills, following the suggestions below. Actually, I took it a bit further and went from Swords to Axes to increase my DPS. It's prolly my n00bness, but my survivability went a little south.

One thing Blood Magic was good for was to put a couple of Life Siphons on a couple incoming enemies, doing some DoT and getting a good HoT in the process.

I'm NOT complaining: these are good suggestions and I've learned something from them, it'll take some time to adjust my playstyle.

Knowing the lack of energy Warriors got, i'll probably consider using necro spells that have group effects and tend to last awhile [i.e. you cast it once, and then melee]. On my Mesmer/Necro i've found Rotten Flesh [disease and it spreads] , Well of Blood [health regen within a circle] , Well of Suffering [health drain within circle] of most use. Rotten Flesh is great for an opener, and the Wells are good after your first or 2nd kill, especially if you are tanking and are surrounded.

Basically i would look into all the 'exploit corpse' spells since as warrior you will actually be exploiting the corpse where the fight is [with mages this do not always happen as they are far [hopefully] from the mobs].

Instead of Vampiric Touch/Gaze for healing i'll also probably look into Soul Feast which exploits a corpse and heal ALOT more than those two.

I'm not fond of the health sacrifice spells, mainly because you need alot of energy to actually 'regain' the health [by leeching it back] , which warriors simply can't do. The direct health 'leeching' spells seems ok for an emergency , but for general 'killing' it was sort of useless given the energy you got.

Oh at Lion's Arch you should have most of the spells i've mentioned, i did. Anyway just my oppinion, i do have a lvl 10 W/N but haven't really played it, but do know i've tried using Vampiric Gaze as an healing spell for my W and well the 40 odd healing rarely helps if you got 300+ hp.

Cons of my suggestion : Most of these spells are slow to cast and will generally cost 15 energy , but being a warrior i'd imagine you can take the punch and assuming that you won't be casting constantly it's good for openers and first/second kill.

I'm sorry but from what I've seen, blood magic on a mob won't cut it at all for tanking.

Now Curses, NOW we're talking. Shadow of Fear, Enfeebling Blood, Mark of Pain.

There the 3 skills you need to easily neuter and then destroy any mob that is on you. [btw, the mob killing capability will ONLY be effective on yourself, not if it spreads to the rest of your teammates]

30 energy? Well, if you really want to tank, then ditch Mark of Pain. Weak enemies attacking SLOWLY will be better for you. If not tank, then ditch enfeebling blood since it lasts for half the time shadow of fear will last [at high lvls of curses]

I can't possibly see ANY good use of blood magic skills for tanking.

Well, if tanking means that you stay alive and take the beating while the rest of the team is killing the mobs, then the blood line is very useful for tanking (demonic flesh, blood renewal, the life stealing spells, including life transfer (elite)). If u mean tanking is a guy who is able to solemnly kill all mobs while the rest of your team is healing u, even then blood is nice: stack bleeding and life siphon)

I would probably also consider either Death Magic or Curses , Blood Magic even on my Mesmer seems at this stage a bit "anti-tanking" in PvE. Single targets its good, on hordes of mobs coming at you, not really [Well of Blood is an exception, but probably best left for a mage to cast]. I toyed around with Blood Renewal [which shaves 33% hp from you before you gain the regenration], and in most cases without a good monk it was generally suicidal when tanking to suddenly loose 100+ hp to gain hp regen [so its primarily usefull BEFORE you enter the battle].

Btw, do not underestimate stuff like "necrotic traversal". For some reason i don't see alot of people use it, probably because they don't want to teleport into a group, but look at the cost and the casting time [5 energy + 3/4 casting time to poison an entire group + you teleport to a corpse] and it sounds like a winner for warriors. Worst case is you teleport OUT of a group :P [and i can think of alot of creative ways to use this (trying to get to that gang of ranged mesmers/rangers on top that hill fast, just need to get one killed).... :P].

Similar to what I use (not all 3 skills in the same bar but some/one of them).

I throw in also Parasitic Bond for cheap healing (curse atribute) for 5 energy you get 30-102 when it ends (time up or death), the added 20 second -1 regen is only good for stoping natural regen bonus to kick in.

im also a W/N thou im level 20 now and have captured some of the elite necro skills and tbh, ive completely ditched it for a pure sword warrior build. I used to have soul feast as my primary health restoring skill but later in the game u usually run around with a necro who steals all the corpses (even asking him to leave me atleast 1) and it kinda wipes out ur energy too. I put all my atts into swords/strength and tactics. With defy pain (elite warrior skill) and a decent monk its a great build imo.
